Our promise: your data stays with you

Your phone contacts never leave your phone. If you use the contact picker to invite or connect with someone, the selection happens on your device. We do not upload, copy, or store your address book on our servers.
Your connections are private. The parties you connect with on TruckSetu — drivers, fleet owners, transporters — are visible only to you. We never show your network to other users, and we never share it with any company.
Your business data is yours. Your loads, trips, rates, and messages are visible only to you and the specific party you chose to deal with. No one else — not other users, not advertisers, not data brokers.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone. No advertisers, no marketing companies, no data brokers. Ever.

2. Who can see your data

Only you can see your full account: your connections, your load history, your saved parties.

A counterparty you choose (for example, a transporter you accept a load from) sees only what is needed for that one deal: your name, phone number, and — if you turned it on — your live trip location. Nothing more, and nothing after the deal unless you connect again.

Nobody else. Other users cannot browse your profile, your network, or your history. There is no public directory of users.

3. Who we do NOT give your data to

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
We do not share your data with advertisers, marketing agencies, or data brokers.
We do not upload or store your phone contact list.
We do not show your connections or deal history to other users.

The only exceptions are ones the law forces on every company: we may disclose specific information if a court or government authority lawfully requires it, and we use trusted infrastructure providers (such as our cloud hosting company) to physically run our servers — they store data on our behalf and are contractually barred from using it for anything else.

4. How we protect your data

All traffic between your app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
Data is stored on servers located in India with access restricted to essential staff.
Your account is protected by OTP verification on your own phone number.

5. Your control

Location: off by default; you turn it on per trip and can stop it any time.
Contacts permission: optional; the app works without it. You can revoke it any time in your phone settings.
Delete your account: request deletion in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or email us — we permanently delete your profile, connections, and history within 30 days.
See your data: email us and we will share a copy of everything we hold about you.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data only while your account is active. Trip location data is deleted after the trip ends. If you delete your account, everything is permanently removed within 30 days, except records we must keep under Indian law (for example, tax-relevant transaction records).

7. Children

TruckSetu is a business tool for the transport trade and is not intended for anyone under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle your data, we will update this page and notify you in the app before the change takes effect. We will never quietly weaken the promises on this page.
